Thank you for using GrabNo (“the Extension”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it when you use our Chrome Extension and associated backend services.
When you use the Extension, we collect the following types of information:
To use the Extension, you must create an account. When you sign up, we collect:
- Email Address: Used for authentication and account management.
- Password: Securely hashed and stored by our authentication provider (Supabase). We do not have access to your raw password.
B. Usage Data
When you generate notes using the Extension, we process and store:
- YouTube Video URLs: The URLs of the videos you choose to summarize.
- Generated Content: The AI-generated summaries, transcripts, and notes created from your requested videos.
- Usage Logs: Data about when you generate notes, which features you use (e.g., summary mode, detailed mode), and your usage limits.
Standard browser information such as IP address and user agent may be temporarily logged by our backend servers for security and rate-limiting purposes.
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- Providing the Service: To authenticate you, process your requests, generate AI summaries via our backend API, and deliver the final notes to you.

- Service Improvement: To analyze usage patterns and improve the accuracy and features of the Extension.
- Security: To detect and prevent fraudulent use, unauthorized access, or abuse of our services.
3. Third-Party Services
We rely on trusted third-party services to operate the Extension. These services may access your data only to the extent necessary to perform their functions:
- Supabase: We use Supabase for database storage and user authentication. Your account details (email, hashed password) and generated notes are stored securely on Supabase servers. (Supabase Privacy Policy)
- Google Gemini API: We use Google’s Gemini LLM to generate notes from video transcripts. The video content and transcripts are sent to Google’s API for processing. We do not use your personal data to train Google’s AI models. (Google Privacy Policy)
We do not sell your personal data to advertisers or third parties.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your notes and account data are stored securely in our cloud database (Supabase). All communication between the Extension, our backend API, and third-party services is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. While we implement industry-standard security measures, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You have the right to access, modify, or delete your personal data.
- Access and Modification: You can view your saved notes within the Extension.
